Tell us a little about yourself!
Hi! My name is Chrisna Barrett and I was born and raised here in Asheville, NC.
I graduated from Reynolds High School and attended AB Tech. I chose to stay in the Asheville area to stay close to my family and friends who play a major role in my life. I have been blessed with my 3 year old son, Joseph. He means the world to me and brings me so much laughter and joy!
Outside of work, Joseph and I love doing anything outdoors. From swimming and hiking, to playgrounds and camping, we do it all.
What are your responsibilities at Sona?
I am a Pharmacy Technician for our Sona Access Program.
I work with patients to ensure they are adherent with their medications, and have access to all of the healthcare resources they need to continue living independently in their homes.
What do you love most about your job and why?
I love working with people and helping our community!
I love the connection and trust my team and I establish with our patients. Making transitions from nursing facilities back home is not always an easy task, but when our patients trust our team, it becomes much easier.
Most of all, I love having the opportunity to get to know our patients and help them with whatever they need.
How is Sona different than other pharmacies?
Sona is very different than other pharmacies! The Sona team does more than just help with medications. Our goal is to build personal relationships with patients so they feel comfortable opening up to us and asking for help with important healthcare decisions.
