Brad Melson

Chief Executive Officer

Brad Melson, PharmD, is the Chief Executive Officer for Sona Pharmacy in Asheville, NC. Melson received his doctor of pharmacy degree from the University of Kentucky College of Pharmacy (2009). Prior to joining Sona Pharmacy in 2012, Melson was a Pharmacy Manager for Rite Aid in Western NC. In addition to Melson’s role as Pharmacy Manager, he oversees the pharmacy operations for both community pharmacies in Asheville and Hendersonville, which also includes software implementation, specialty pharmacy services, adherence programs, clinical services, and business development projects. Melson was also actively involved in the conception and building design of Sona Pharmacy. He is a preceptor for advanced community experiential rotations UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy. Melson is a member of National Community Pharmacists Association (NCPA).
